Products and Peptide Research FAQ

1

What are peptides?

Peptides are chains of amino acids. Researchers study different peptides for their chemical properties and biological activity. Each product page identifies the specific compound and the amount listed for that vial.

2

What does "Research Use Only Mean?"

Peak’s research products are intended for laboratory research only. They are not intended for human or animal use, and they should not be used to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. A “Research Use Only” label does not, by itself, make a product an approved drug.

3

How do I choose the right product for my research?

Start with the compound required by your research protocol. Check the product name, listed amount, and available testing documentation before ordering. If you need a specification that is not shown, contact us with the product name and your question.

4

What does “mg” mean on a product listing?

“Mg” means milligrams and describes the listed amount of material in the vial. It does not tell you the product’s purity, how it was tested, or whether it is suitable for a particular experiment. Review those details separately in the product documentation.

5

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A COA is a document reporting test results for a specific product or batch. Depending on the tests performed, it may report identity, purity, or other measured specifications. Check that its product name and batch or lot number match the vial you receive.

6

Does a high purity result mean a product is safe to use in people?

No. A purity result addresses a particular measurement under a particular test method. It does not establish sterility, safety, effectiveness, or approval for human use.
